This specialization addresses the unique physiotherapy needs of women throughout their life span, with a focus on prenatal and postnatal care, gynecological disorders, and pelvic floor dysfunction. The academic framework covers maternal physiological changes, hormonal influences, labor support, postnatal recovery, and management of conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti. The course also includes therapeutic strategies for menopause, osteoporosis, and breast cancer rehabilitation.
Students receive practical training in maternity wards, gynecological clinics, and wellness centers, developing the ability to deliver individualized physiotherapy care that promotes physical and functional well-being in women.
